I was born in Siberia, Russia and started dancing at the age of 10 when my younger brother and I won the local dance competition and were offered a scholarship in one of the prestigious dance schools. Since my first ballet class dance became a great love in my life and always brings joy to me.
In 2006 I moved to New York City to study and pursue a new life. I continued learning various forms of dance from jazz and hip-hop to ballroom styles. In 2009 I discovered Argentine Tango and fell passionately in love with it. I still vividly remember my very first class, it was about the embrace, walking and beautiful tango music. Since that day I have never stopped dancing tango and have gained true love and passion for learning and knowing more about it. It became a great part of my life and helps me connect with amazing people around the world. I am grateful for my first teachers, Orlando Reyes and Adriana Salgado who helped me to understand the dance and build a solid foundation. I often travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina to learn from world-class teachers like Carlos and Rosa Perez, Gabriel Angio and Natalia Gamez, Alejandra Mantinan, Mario Morales, Gabriel Misse and Analia Centurion, Claudio Gonzalez and Melina Brufman, just to name a few.
In April 2012 my former dance partner and I won first place at the USA Argentine Tango Championship (Stage Tango Category). In 2014 I won first place in the Original Tango Championship in New York.
I am the founder and former president of the Baruch College Argentine Tango Club where I was teaching different levels of tango classes weekly while pursuing my degree in Digital Marketing.
Currently I teach open level group and private lessons at Atlantic Ballroom Dance Studio in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The classes are every Monday and Thursday at 8pm! No partner or experience are needed!
Besides dancing, I enjoy meeting new people and relaxing with my friends, watching movies, reading, exploring outdoor activities, practicing yoga and DANCING TANGO!
